And not saying you are one, but I know plenty of mechanics that I would never let within 50 feet of my Evo.
Tried cleaning it but with no luck.....ordered the replacement today....def came at the worst time....good ol' sensors....

Whenever you have a dead maf, I have never ever seen cleaning it bring it back to life.

To the thread-starter: I'm sorry if I cost you a few dollars and some time, but, IMO, it was worth checking before spending hundreds. May I assume that you also checked the wires going into the plug? That's another way to get a P0102.

Of course not. But the real question is whether you've ever seen a car that's throwing a P0102 "come back to life" after a MAF cleaning.

Just an FYI, cleaned it and it was a no go. Got the new MAF and I'm back in business

No problem. Anything is worth a try if it yields results instead of having to wait for the dealership to drag their feet for a week dish 240$....and it's a quick try
