It's completely normal for you to have black spots on your trunk and the back of your car. It may also be an indicator that you are running a little rich if there is tons of it.
The only real way to protect your paint and make it easier to clean in the future is to properly clay the car, then compound and polish. Once you have done that get a good sealant and then wax.
Once you have done these steps it will be very easy to use a quick detailer spray/wash to clean the back of the car. Optimum No Rinse is one of the best.

Can you please outline the easiest and least time time expensing way of taking care of it. Could you recommend certain products? What I'm looking for is to shove thick wax on it and leave it on for long periods of time, especially winter to protect the paint.

Otherwise, wash the car, dry it, and apply the wax. Canadian Tire sells a variety of car waxes.. read the directions on them in the store and pick one that seems easiest to you to use. That'll get you started. It does take a bit of elbow grease and maybe 2 hrs of your time from beginning of was to end of wax. But she shines!
Or pay a detailer to have it done.. (bubbles car wash, etc.)
You're in Edmonton, maybe we'll have to have a wax date sometime.

Problems cleaning Wicked White?
Yes, Evo's run rich and that protects the engine. We all have the carbon soot on our trunks, especially after running a track day. Clean your trunk with a sodium silicate cleaner or 'No Rinse' liquid cleaner and minor elbow grease. It really works! Put on a sealer such as 'Klasse' and after that use a good Carnuba wax. That will make removal of any soot very easy.
