Removing water stains from window?

Hi,

I made the mistake of washing my car in the sun on a sunday morning, so now there are some water marks on the window that I can see, I used some window cleaner but it seems that it hasn't come off.

So just wondering, how do you remove?

Rewash car, dry with chamois leather if you have much lime in you water.

I always try to the remove water before it can dry and eventually leave a water spot.

Or try diluted white vinegar in a spray bottle.

0000 steel wool and soapy water will take it right off with almost zero effort.

do not rub the steel wool on the paint or door trim! Pro tip: mask off the door trim with tape beforehand.

I use a clay bar which is pretty effective for both glass and paint. It gets recent marks off but doesn't do much for the older ones.

I usually towel the car off after washing to minimize the amount of marks.

I had a 1970 AAR Cuda, Dark Green with original paint. I was the second owner. It had the worst case of water spots on the paint, windows and stainless trim. I tried steel wool, rubbing compound and many magic home brews. None of it worked. A friend who was a avid boater said to try water spot remover from the Marine Store. I was amazed, just wipe on and off and it was gone from all surfaces.

Duckeys Water Spot Remover rings a bell, I think. It was like magic.

i use the same polish as i use on my paint. to speed up the process use a DA or orbital (on glass, not the paint) buffer.

it takes the spots right off.
