It's just a regular Evo that has had parts and a tune added by an aftermarket shop. Mitsubishi isn't supplying the warranty either, it will be the aftermarket shop.

Remember guys, the numbers on this are 440hp at the crank. So that's around 350whp.

I'd love to see the dyno sheet on one of these as the only reason I can imagine they added new injectors and the HKS turbo is so it can hold 350whp to redline.. which to be honest is easy with bolt ons.

Thats ba. The only thing I dont understand is why it doesnt have the fq400 body kit. It just looks like they did all new engine upgrades and left the exterior the same as a basic evo. Mitsubishi might as well have added the fq400 body kit to it.

And here something you didnt expect:

Mitsubishi's also supplying all FQ-440 MR specials with a data recorder. It logs things like driving style, performance, vehicle diagnostics, and your location - if you go too mad, Mitsubishi says you'll void the warranty.

Agreed with the others saying th evo does not need the 4g63 engine to be an evo. Look at the pajero. Lol. My truck got a 4g63 turbo engine and it ain't to evo. Car in the link looks interesting. Lol.

My question is how were they able to use the SST tranny in the car? I wonder if they made any changes to the tranny or if there was any reprogramming of the TCU? Very interesting model though, wish we could get it in the US

Very nice for a car with warranty.

But the 311RS still gets my vote.

It sounds as if they won't be doing much internally according to an article i read, which may be wrong. If so then possibly a lot to take from this car to apply to the standard evo

GT-R territory is another 28K GBP on top of the FQ-440.

In USD-converted GBP terms, the problem isn't would I spend 80k for a FQ-440 or 80K for a used GT-R, it's would I spend 80k for a FQ-440 or $130k for a base GT-R.

Doesn't make sense to apply US prices to cars in the UK.

Why would they build a super car only to put big brother on there to void the warranty when someone drives it like it was designed to be driven?
