Smogging the Evo today
So I spend the whole evening yesterday putting my oem cat back on was told this morning that my car is too low and it probably can't be done. The tech went onto the CA emissions book and look at my year evo and the book said it's fwd?! But the evo8/9 is awd? Thats gota be a typo or his book is old. I keep telling him that it's awd all the time no way to disengage it. He just has this look on his face. I've read somewhere that it's it awd that they don't even put it on the roller it that true?

+ communist state of California.
No rollers required, they'll lock the throttle in a 3K rpm range and sniffer probe in the tail. A visual is usually your biggest concern if modded. If you removed your EGR, make sure you put it back with a couple hoses conected to each other, other then that, it's in the tune that will make it or break it. Take it to James, since your in SD, he'll make it pass.
I pass! Whew I was worried when I read u have to put ur oem intake back. I have a AEM without the card sticker, clear my o2 error code prior and I still pass. It didn't need to go on the rollers. I guess his book was old. He did show it to me "mitsubishi 2008+ lancer ES, EVO .....fwd" Lol. Had to convince him it's awd. Poor guy.
