Having an issue here I need to get some light shed on.
I have an HKS ssqv IV BOV and its currently VTA. My tuner wants me to recirculate as it would ensure the car will idle and operate correctly.

I have done some searching and it seems only the SSQV III has a recirculation kit available for it, and I can find nothing regarding the IV.

Anyone have the IV and have it recirculated. Any help would be great

 

it has zero affect on idle or operation...

but yes it fits, I've owned them both. I currently run a SSQV4, sometimes VTA, sometimes recirc, doesn't matter.

you can get the kit from bulletproof (message them on here) or generic eBay one. Though I did have a problem with the eBay ones fitment.

 

Ok just wanted to make sure. He stressed that he cannot guarauntee it will idle or operate correctly after a tune unless its recirculated.

 

I have had both setups on my 5, 8 and current 8. You can get as ikt suggested a recirc fitting from ebay ( i got mine from AWD motorsports on ebay) fit it up and modified the spring for a softer reaction with more travel.

- Presently in recirc and zero idle issues.
- I open the valve when i do track days to scare the kids away and no problems there either.

Not sure if we can post links here(forgive me if we can't), but HKS do make a recirculation kit just for the SSQV IV. I know because I have the same BOV and have ordered the recirc kit just in case I get done by the cops for having the BOV vent to the atmosphere....
