e85

So..I'm thinking about getting an e85 tune. Anything in specific I should be aware of if I do go e85? Will if affect my car in any way? (Besides add power of course) what are some things that could go wrong because of e85, especially in the long run?

Nothing to worry about except added fuel consumption ive been on ethanol in 2 cars for 5 years with no problems at all. I use a trade strength injector cleaner every few tanks to be "safe"

Anything above 1000cc BUT depends on what turbo you use AND your hp goals. Dont buy a 1100cc to be 400 whp and then later on upgrade to a 1400cc like this guy here once did lol.

E85 on stock turbo will get you to 400hp. If you want 450, you'll need to upgrade to the MHI turbo or similar (FP red, EF2.5, etc).

You will need at least 1000cc injectors, which will be fine with stock turbo + e85. I'm not sure if 1000cc will be able to keep up with a MHI turbo though. Also, get a 300lph+ pump such as the DW300, Walbro 400 (E85 version), Aeromotive 340

My suggestion is for every 20 tanks of E85, switch back to pump gas for a tank. The solvents in the pump gas will help clean out the gunk in the fuel system.

Just go with the 450lph walbro, e85 compatible, then 1400+ injectors which are good for 500+ on e85 more if on pump. Stock turbo wont get you 450 though, youll need an fp red to do that with a stock motor.

Not looking to upgrade my turbo just yet so I'll go with 1000cc. So the regular pump gas won't mess with my tune or anything if I do go e85?

having run e85 on every turbo car I've owned since 2003 - you have nothign to worry about, you will make quite a bit more torque because you should spool earlier, if you are running beyond the capacity of the stock turbo it is very likely you'll need fuel upgrades.
