I just installed the k&n typhoon a few days ago. The ets intake looks to have most of the same design as the typhoon. The typhoon uses the factory air ram to supply the air into the filter location and doesn't relocate the bov. But for over $100 less (for the ets) looks like you made a good choice.
PS have fun with the hose clamp on the inlet pipe..it's in a very uncomfortable location. The mechanic work isn't bad, just far enough back there to be a slight pita

I was going to go ETS until today. Couldn't pass this great AMS bundle deal up. Got AMS: Intake, UICP, LICP and IC for 800. Great shape also. But i still need a turboback exhaust. I want to go with a dual exit exhaust. Looking at Cobb quad tip or ETS.
Used parts? Check out our exhaust package w/ free shipping.

I have the AEM intake and really like it, but I had to get a tune. I don't regret the tune, but I like the look of the ETS intake, and I know from experience with my M3 that open intakes make a cool sound.
