^Correct. There were several modded X's at the dealer waiting to get the recall done (stopped by to pick up some parts).

so the dealer said they need a bunch of small parts to return it back to stock. brake lines, clutch release plates, tubes, etc. they are charging about $120 for parts and $75 labor to return CMC back to stock.

bah... going to take another 2-3 days..

I'm still on my stock CMC. Have 62k on my 2010 GSR. Been lazy as hell to get it changed. Seeing if you feel any improvements.

I had an aftermarket CMC on my car. (Tilton series MC)

They did the recall no questions asked. They just said no warranty for me since I had an ACT 6 Puck installed.

Drove the car for 5-6k miles with the new revised CMC and hadn't had any problems. (That included 1 track day and lot of downshifting and learning heel-tow shifting so it got some abuse).

Your Exedy should hold. If u have an aftermarket clutch just DONT say anything about it. SO when it breaks just go back in and play dumb.

I haven't checked the other thread lately to see who's running an aftermarket clutch with the CMC upgrade but... That's good to know/hear

had to pay both parts and labor. the clutch feels ALOT softer. before, it was tiring holding it down. now it's light as feather. everything else is ok.

ordered the magnus conversion. not going to take chances.. going to re-bleed it

Just went in to the dealership for this recall an drive belt pulley recall. All I can say is clutch feels a lot softer then before. From what I understand this is normal but I like the way the old clutch felt.

With the cost and the downtime, you should have went with the magnus kit from the start. But at least your up and running again

I should... I thought the recall was to put an Evo 9 CMC inside. I figured I'd use that CMC and magnus kit. and since my car broke down right next to the dealer, I towed it there..

ended up it's not an Evo 9 CMC.

so currently I'm still driving it without a problem. Clutch remained soft...

bought another Evo 9 clutch from Autozone. will install the Magnus soon. Don't want to risk anything

^I don't blame you. But at the same time I would want to see how long the updated CMC lasts.
