I say email cobb and ask for info. Can't hurt. The more info the better.

the money your gonna spend on a tune right now could go towards a COBB AP thats what i did, bone stock went to stage 1 felt diff right away. Then like that u could save up get all the parts u want and THEN GO FOR THE REAL TUNE to get ur monies worth.

Asked myself the same thing. Here's the conclusion I came to:

A tune usually runs about $500

An access port is $500

A stage 1 only $25 more than the access port by itself.

Later I will need a real tune when I throw more mods on.

Why pay 500 now and then 500 later and get nothing extra in the end? I can put that 525 for a cobb now and in the end pay the same but also have a cobb on top of it? Is it worth the extra maybe 10hp? Not really. Honestly sounds like the shop just wants to sell you a tune. Reputable or not, a tune makes them more money.
