hey guys..
please read and help me to solve this issue!!!!


i have a 2008 evo x MR. i am having some issues with my grer light beside the shift nob.


every time i start the car "P R N D +/-" lights are blinking every 5 seconds.


It happened out of nowhere. my car was driving so nice at all time until now.


Any time the light blinks, the tranny tries to disengage the clutch and engage the clutch right away. Its like i stepping on clutch in manual gear.


i was trying to research little bit about it and all the symtoms on website were not related to my problems.


Usually when lights are blinking, clutch should be slipping or car is not drivable.


But my car drives ok and changes gear nicely for 5 sec. (no slipping on clutch)


it is non stop 5 sec blinking.


i tried first time reflashing ecu and put new tune. then symtom went away for while.
After a month, i came back from vacation and tried to start the car, first run was ok but 2 run started to blinking again,


so i took to tuning shop to reflash the ecu, this time didnt work at all.
eveyone told me its not mechanical issue. more likely electrical issue.


but i have no idea where to start and solve this issue.


any idea? please help.

The dealership can pull the transmission (TCU) codes.

When is the last time you got the transmission fluid changed?

it was only 3 to 4 months ago with ssp fluid.

dealer said some how they can not communicate with ecu..so i am trying to put the stock rom now
