So I have looked through the forum on this issue but mine is brand new with 250 miles on it, and in every gear when I get on it at like 2500-3000 rpms they jump up to 4500 or so and then drop back down when I get off a little. I am very confused because everybody says it would be the clutch, but the car is brand new. Does it just need time to break in? or is it a factory defect. I am coming from a wrx

take it back to the dealer its under warranty.

You must have launched the car a few times. It won't be covered under warranty.

 

As others have said sounds like your clutch might be on the way out. The car must have been launched hard if it only has 250 miles and the clutch is slipping.

Chances of getting a clutch replaced under warranty are pretty slim. When you took ownership of the car how many miles were on it? Have you launched it yourself? A slipping clutch with 250 miles is ridiculous.

 

there was 210 miles on it, didn't launch it at all, same day I got it which was yesterday noticed the rpm spike. Im going in monday to try to get this problem resolved. thanks guys

 

That may be your issue, looks like someone beat on the car before you took ownership. Keep us updated, hope everything works out for you as that's not right.
