473 HP final edition Evo x
Getting more a little more output from the motor doesn't hurt the Evos performance in handling what so ever. Especially with simple bolt ons and a tune. If you like you car stock more power to you. Regurgitating my dyno numbers don't make me feel better. driving faster with more power does.
I agree with Howat. No car handles or performs like an evo, without heavy modification to the suspension and all that. At least in the $40k range, so that excludes supercars, sure maybe a gtr can compare, but thats over $100k new, which is $60k more than a brand new evo. A lot of people buy evo's to mod them, not that many people keep them stock. And if you put that extra 60k into your evo, youll be miles ahead of gtrs and supercars in every way.
modded evo x $60k
used Stock GTR $60k
probably very close to each other in handling and performance at this point, but now lacking in value
WORTH:
evo x 30-40k
GTR 60k
But with that said I think the evo is a great car in its own price range for performance and handling.
Very interesting question and something I'm quite curious about.
For all EVO X owners, with the price tag of $60K total, which would they opt with? Pick only one:
A. New modded EVO X
approximate mileage of 0 miles
OR
B. Used stock GTR
approximate mileage of 15-35K miles
Rational would be helpful to have additional understanding.
Thanks!

I see alot of people with this theroy of if I put same amount of money into a evo it would be just as fast or faster... well yes BUT to me the Better value would still be the GTR cause at the end of the day you paid 30-40k for your evo x and put another 20k to make it comparable.

I'm not sure you're going to find a good used GTR for 60k. You might find some old, high-milage, or beat-up GTRs, tho.
Which begs the question... how much money are you going to need to put into that used GTR once you have it? Plus general GTR maintenance costs are high (significantly higher than your Evo).

The second one.. if $995 rounds down to $0, then, yeah, it's $65k. Anyway, I thought we're talking a $60k limit.

Yup. Not going to find a good one for 60k or less. No maintenance records on the first. Will there be a $10k service coming up? Hmm. It's also of north east origin. That's a whole nother ball of wax.
