i have the tomei tull tbe and it sounds hard. gf hates it tho...

 

I live in saint louis and we have emissions testing here for the most part and i have an ETS High flow cat and a Perrin exhaust and i passed emmisions no problem. They dont have the sniffer test here though just the plug into the obd II port.

 

If I ever switched to a single exit my top choice would be Tomei

 

Just put on AMS 3" Single tip turbo back exhaust with test pipe. It's loud, roars, gurgles and pops and shoots flames after the dyno. I would recommend it. Shoot me your number and I can send the dyno video for sound if thats what you're looking for.

 

I was leaning towards AMS. For it being my "secondary" exhaust I can't justify the price of the Tomei. I was also looking into the Regu 06, but haven't been able to get too much info on it or a place to get it.

 

Well I can tell you that the few tuner shops I'm going to out here in San Diego have been telling me that the parts I've chosen are perfect selections for building the car right and when I got it tuned, Steven @ DrBoost shop said that the parts usually peek half way and then drown down, that's where he comes in and fools with it on the ECU. But, to his surprise he said the test pipe and and turbo back exhaust were all peeking all the way to red line which is PERFECT. Now I'm not sure if that's because my car is a 2015 EVO or what but it was music to my ears! We went ahead and ordered my fuel pump and tuned again. I've been to the track and to some EVO meets and everyone has complimented me on how loud and throaty my exhaust set up is. AMS with test pipe I believe will not disappoint you. I always thought tomei sound the closest but I'm with you on how the 8&9 sound so throaty

 

I was tossed up between ETS extreme and Tomei. If your going to switch go with tomei. Beautiful and sounds great. Almost positive it bottlenecks so if your looking for full 3 ams. .. You already have full 3 with ETS I just think the double looks more clewn. IMO .. But tomei is a beautiful exhaust and full titanium weighs like 11 pounds I think

 

I really like my Tomei. Very light weight. Awesome sound. And its quieter than I thought it would be cruising. Get on it, and it has a nice growl, in my opinion...

 

Great post man, I actually just sold my AMS single exit and purchased the ETS V2 Extreme. I loved the AMS single exit bro and I think that's a solid choice. It sounds amazing and I love the goldish color it has. I have a widemouth downpipe, test pipe and the AMS catback. She wasn't crazy loud but sounded amazing. You'll enjoy it man

 

I love my tomei but in my opinion it has quite a bit of drone
