It's going to take me while to get a new pump shipped to jamaica and since my evo is my dd I'm wondering if it would be safe to drive the car with the damaged pump until I get the new pump. Please I really need your help.
You won't damage anything I did it for about two years but I just got mine replaced as part of a recall. Apparently Mitsu extended the warranty on those and did a recall, they now have 10 year 100k mile warranty for them.

^Got the letter in the mail several weeks ago. Light came on the other day. Needs a new pump. Dealer says it'll take about 3-4 weeks to get the part. They, and the letter state car is ok to drive.
