I have a 2013 wrx and a 2014 evo GSR. When I first got my evo, I actually liked driving the wrx more. But when I purchased the wrx it was already modded and putting down 297whp and 315tq. But now that I started modding the evo, I can't get enough of driving the car, the wrx is actually my wife's and I think it suits her better anyway.
As for the touchscreen radio, I have the base model. The interface is pretty decent, and you are able to add a backup camera to it with little modification. The speakers are terrible, I think it's a combination between speakers and head unit. That being said, the sound quality was far worse in the wrx.
Recaro seats. When I first test drove an evo and was going to trade my mustang in with heated leather. I hated the seats, they were jabbing me in the sides and I was so uncomfortable. After getting one though and adjusting it properly. I love the seats. Some of the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. Like someone is hugging you from the back hahaha. But with the shape of the seats, I can't drive with my wallet in my back pocket. It is really uncomfortable like that.
The rattling, I haven't noticed any of that. Infact I think it handles amazing and I don't hear a damn thing except a little squeak here or there from the brakes. Lot of brake dust, but it cleans easily and you can change pads if you want. The wrx is on eibach lowering springs, now that car is a nightmare to drive. Every little deviation in the road and it feels like the windshield is going to explode.

Do you know if the AYC issue would be covered under warranty if I buy a 2013 one? I've never sat in the Recaro so I can't judge, I need to go see one and sit in them. In regards to the trunk, like I said I am a single guy, and I rarely use the trunk. Camera, stereo and steering wheel I don't even have those things in any of the cars that I owned.
I guess all I need to do is drive the car and see how bad the rattles are.
19mpg? hahahaha! yeah right, i WISH it even got that. Your looking 17mpg city stock! Not a good Daily dude. Trust me. Unless you enjoy time at a gas station. Beautiful fun car though..

Get the Evo and a nice turbo-back exhaust for it and you'll have a pur even better than a subi. Just my 2 cents!

i daily'd my evo for the first 3 years of ownership and i mean if you take it easy on the highway it will get like 23 or 24. But i would agree city driving you will prolly get like 16 or so irl especially if you use the a/c. But i mean if you dont mind the little extra per month in fuel costs should be no worry!

More smiles per gallon, MPG is irrelevant. I will daily my Evo any day over a gas-saver.

Man I must drive like an old grandpa in the city.

On the interstate at 65 i get about 25 sometimes even 26mpg.

In the city, I can get about 21-22. You guys getting 16 must get into boost on every shift. Stay out of boost and you're mileage will drastically improve.

Stay
out
of
boost?

Sorry does not compute.

I don't know how you do it to be honest, I wish I had boost from throttle tip-in.
