X vs. 8 (yes i have read all the previous X vs. 8 threads)

My fellow earthlings !!

previously owned an 8 and absolutely loved the car. Sold the car because I needed a truck and now getting another evo as a weekend/dd. That being said, I want to say it would be my DD but at the same time the truck COULD be a DD as well. I am 25 now and trying not to look like a kid in a toy car. although I am still a kid at heart.

I could get an 8 and have it paid off with relatively high mileage OR finance a x(keeping in mind putting down 10k on a 19-20k x so payments should be low).

Yes absolutely it comes down to my own personal preference but still looking for others experience with both.

BLESSINGS

x, easy. Only way i would buy an IX would be a low mileage example and we know how much those cost+no warranty.

I vote X.

From what I've seen, any X that's $20k and under is either going to have high mileage or something wrong with it. Of course there are exceptions.

Seen a couple in my area with under 70k for 19k but yes I think trying to find the right one would take some time

you had drove the VIII, now why not try the X. They feel different but serve same purpose.

His comment is no more or less stupid than yours. This is an opinion thread. People are voicing their opinion. I don't recall anyone calling you stupid when you were making threads about topics that had been covered dozens of time. Perhaps you could extend the same courtesy to others.

If I had to drive it daily I would choose the X over a CT9A. If I could drive it whenever I wanted, I would get a IX or VIII.

As far as payments, even though it would usually be better to have a fully paid off car vs. making payments every month, the quality of Evo VIII you will be able to afford outright may make it worth making payments on an X with less potential maintenance issues.
