2015 Final Edition - 313 hp & different interior
More photos - Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X Final Edition Model

From the article:
Mitsubishi will produce only 1,000 units and sales will be restricted to Japan only, which adds to the 'bad news' we were talking about earlier. This, along with the power remaining the same as well as the fact that the Evo X will finally go quietly into the night.

So I haven't been on this forum in a long time, use to own a 2006 SE Evo...yes the special edition version. Half dozen cars later, I am looking at getting a new car this summer/fall. The first on the list is the Focus RS ....but this "special edition" Evo has been on a back list waiting for details to come out.
After reading about it a couple days ago I inquired to a couple dealers, one being the dealer I originally purchased the '06 from, in IL. Response below:
"My partner & I scanned this week's order instructions that just posted to see if any 'tells' appeared-
You are either wired in or this round's inquiry had radar timing;
Here's the first snippet of info we see (I will dig for more now that timing is clear):
"June DOS- cars should be Sept / Oct shipments . The final Evos will be a special edition."
We know we will earn at least a car per store and can dictate color and option group;"
No details though as of yet on what options or IF Recaros would be in them. I am putting a small refundable deposit down for a white one in the event they do. Why? Well, the '06 Evo was the only car since I've had it that I enjoyed driving. Yea, the X's are different but why not.
I trust this dealer and I'm first on the list of their allotment. I will keep this updated as I get more info from them as they get it.
I would seriously bet on this thing not making it over here unless there is an egregious demand spike.
The Final Edition Evo X is coming to the US, I used to to work for MMNA Corp in Cypress CA and my contacts there confirmed this.
"the information (which is subject to change) that we were informed of when we were in California last week is that there will be a maximum of 1,600 'Final Edition' EVO's built and the allocation process should approximately be in June."
Sent to dealer in IL from ASM Area 22 Mid West Eastern Zone Mitsubishi Motors North America, representative.
Here's hoping....with a large H for the right seats..
I'm currently looking to buy a new vehicle and I'm interested to see if the final edition comes to Canada.
I really like the red stitching, it reminds me of my BB6 Prelude with all the JDM parts
