Question is there anything that would need to be done if your were going to part out your car? Also has anyone seen the numbers as to how much one could see coming back from his car? I know it would varry depending on the mods but as far as a over all good condition 2010 evo x

 

I wrecked my talon back in the day. I was thinking or parting it out. It had leather seats and the whole 9. But I sold it As-is.

Some states need VIN verification on certain parts.

You have to think what is it worth. Like Kelly Blue Book value. Not what you think you should get for it. Then if you are satisfied with that number sell it the way it is.

Parting out the car may get you more money in the long run but its a hell of a run. Thinking the way I do. The value of the parts plus my time to wrench it out of the car and ship it. By the end of the part out, which can take up to a year, you'll get your money's worth overall but will you get your times worth?

If the car runs and is drives my advice is to sell as is. Saves you time and you can move on with your life. But I you want a project that pays part it out. You'll also get the knowledge or working on that car.
