Windshield washer fluid "issue?"

Hey ladies and gents,

Brand new to the forum, and to Evo X ownership. Just picked up my dream car last Friday. Wanted an Evo since I was nine and finally decided to go for it.

So, I'm the proud owner of a 2015 PB Evo X, and I'm crazy excited about it.

My only gripe so far is the windshield washer system. I used it yesterday while driving right before I got home. I noticed immediately that the jets shoot really low on the windshield. The. When I parked, I noticed two small pools of washer fluid on the hood.

I guess if I was driving for longer after the fluid would take off in the wind. But is it normal for it to shoot that low on the hood?

Anyway, couldn't be more excited about the car. And to any Ontario owners, I'm about a half hour west of Toronto.

Cheers

If it's the first time I would hold the washer stalk down a bit to make sure all the tubes are filled with fluid.

If I haven't used mine in a while it shoots pretty low but if I'm using it frequently it's shooting at an adequate level on the windshield. I'm guessing that over time the fluid runs back into the tank and has less pressure.

i read somewhere that manufacturers have them shoot low so that when you're moving at 60mph the physics involve bring the fluid to where it should be.

I've used mine a couple times and have no issues. the dealer may be able to make adjustments to the nozzle if you ask.

There is this as well, the higher your rate of speed the higher the flow will hit the windshield, but there is a point where it will be shooting too low and physics will push it lower. It's easy to adjust your nozzle if you are still having problems with it after you use it for a while.

Makes sense, thanks. I'll give her a rip on the highway and see how it goes. Worst case I'll get the dealer to aim them up a bit
