Hey guys I've got a 2015 evo x. Everything is fine besides the nail I found in my tire at 400 miles today lol.

So I just want to see if this is normal for a car w 450 miles or if I need something like the ac compressor replaced

While driving with the if conditioner on , not idling , I get this intermittent loud air sound that ends with a suction type sound. Only way I can describe it really. It happens every minute or so usually while accelerating from low Rpms. The suction at the end almost sounds like when you have a cold air intake on an NA car and turn it off

Is this normal or is there something wrong w the ac system? At first I thought maybe normal , but it happens on and on and on w the ac active to no fault

Hopefully I'm just dumb and this is normal

 

Mine does it too. AC is ICE cold in my car

I've been using the fresh air mode, if you use the ac a lot try the recirculation mode

 

Mine does it. Pretty sure it's normal.

 

It's rare that I use the ac. Interesting though. I'm going to check it out when I drive today.

 

Yeah be glad that's all it does, some are way louder and don't work as well. My 2005 sti had terrible AC and would go hot if I put my foot down. In town at a red it would blow hot as well. I still don't use ac in town unless I'm in a semi.

 

It's normal, reason I say that is because both my evo 10s did it lol

Mine does it too, almost sounds like the turbo spooling. Also at idle my RPM sometimes jump up to 1500-2000 for 4-5 seconds at times. With AC on. And my engine is completely stock.
