evo X is the only US model with AYC in it vs the NA CT9A. Which is a big part of the Evo street success story besides the ACD etc.
the NA CT9A is a watered down Evo some say vs rest of the world.
Makes any difference in a future price? I dont think so.

Does the CT9A produced less numbers vs the CZ9A Evo platform? I dont think so.

There are lots of things coming into play when you talking about future price. Me personally have no clue which. if any of them will be more desirable then the other.

My friend just bought an 2002 Evo 7 mint condition stock and only around 6K miles in it. That car is i think one of the least appreciated Evo, but he bought it actually for more money then most Evo 6 TME cost today in EU. Just saying

So i think generally the Evos will be kept in one price range , and the condition will decide the price difference. Not the trim or the generation.

Good discussion. I think we can all agree if we could predict the future value of ANYTHING years out we would likely be retired (regardless of age) enjoying a cocktail at our in pool bar in the back of our mansion.

I'll stick to my economics training - price is a function of supply, demand, and elasticity. Supply of the 8 and 9 in particular is less than the X. Demand is arguably the same/similar. Aesthetics are arguably similar - some love the X's look, some like the 8/9 'rawness', whatever that means.

Of course once they stop making the X, it's supply stops and prices will go up. Given the relatively small demand pool (and price cap that demographic is willing to pay (elasticity)) it won't go up a crazy amount.
