Orders open for Final Edition Evo X. Who is getting one.
hahaha 60k man what the heck are they smoking lol. They must think there is some massive hype and want behind those cars. Im sure those cars are just going to sit for a long time until they come way down in price. Greedy ****'s...
If you guys want to know more info, they are getting a pearl white, rally red, and octane blue. All with hid headlights and no Fosgate from what they said. No recaros.
This is at Harris Mitsubishi in Seattle, WA. They are getting them late September. They are wanting a 5k reservation/down payment.

I've been talking to a friend about these for the past few months that works at mitsubishi and has been in contact with his district manager about pricing and availability. He's been saying that they haven't verified any pricing yet, so i'd discredit any pricing info so far. He gave me this dealer only packet that has all the info about em, colors options, the performance changes, and the date that the first orders are going out. And it seems like they won't have the recaro's even though http://www.torquenews.com/1084/mitsu...us0000-mod2015 sites like this are saying they'll be specced with them. So that's frustrating. But honestly i'd be shocked if these were priced over $40k, mitsubishi can't be that dumb, but i guess dealer mark-up is another story..

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if they were over 40k, but I doubt they are gonna be 60k lol Id go buy something else with 60k.
When I was at South Coast Mitsu a couple weeks ago, they told me that the Final Edition would be AT LEAST 40k, no lower. most likely around 40k - 45k. I was like Fuuuuuu**k that lol Im fine with my evo. But idk, maybe that's only here in SoCal

Newb here.
Interesting comments on the Final. I have never owned an EVO but I have been a rotary and "M" guy for years--usually owning on or the other and sometimes both. I was not very happy with a E92 M3 as it was too heavy and not toss able so I sold that a year ago. I just sold my last RX-7 this week as I was just dumping too much money into it with too little to show.
I have been holding out for the M2 as that seems to be the answer to my woes, but I have to admit that the Final Edition intrigued me. I also have a practical X5d and when the weather permits, I ride a motorcycle as a DD.
My local dealer has a Final Edition (#017) in white and a couple options. They want sticker for it so the OTD price is around $41k. I doubt that I can get a M2 OTD for less than $55k so there is a price difference for similar performance. Obviously, with the M you get fit an finish and are not (usually) revved on by every Honda you come across (I'm 35). The car would be used for DD duties and some light track duty with maybe get 5k miles total a year.
Obviously, with any new car you get depreciation. I like BMW for a variety of reasons but an important one is the slower depreciation than some. The FI is a toss-up as 1,600 is a lot of cars that may sit for years and get discounted. However, if they ever do go up in value a low number would be beneficial. No mods would be done that could not easily be undone to keep it original.
Lots of thoughts on here and opinions are appreciated.

After further reading, it seems like the Final Edition is a waste of money. My BMW dealer thinks that the M2 will be closer to $60k so that is a bummer.
However, I did find a Cayman Black Edition with 18k miles that I'm trying to get for $45k, if so that may be the deal of the year as trade-in is closer to $50k and only 500 were made. Probably a better match for my age.

Well, not exactly what I said. I said it would perform DD duties along with other vehicles such as motorcycles to show what kind of driving I would do (as in this is not a track special). However, I do only live six miles from my pres not job.
If you are considering a M2 I don't think you will be happy with an Evo X FE. The interior will be awful compared to any BMW (and don't even get me started on the non-recaro seats). Since it comes only in 5MT it will be very loud and gas guzzling at any speed above 65. Oh, and the performance? The M2 will be lighter and have considerably more power. You do the math
.
I love my X and won't be trading it in anytime soon but I am very insensitive when it comes to car interiors and I don't daily my X.

The evo is more practical than the M2 and the M2 adds two more seats to the Cayman. If only car evo all the way. If 2nd car I'd say Cayman or M2. For me I'm more about driving feel thus prefer the evo. Had a F80 sold due to the lack of steering feel now I'm hearing M3 steering on the M2 which may change my mind since I still have my local dears first M2 spot.
