WTF do I do?
i have the hks kansai low seat rails and LOVE them. i'm only 5 8 but the stock seating position feels too much like a truck to me. despite what the specs say on these hks rails, the front and rear part of the seats are lower by about half or three quarters of an inch. you will have more leg room, feels more like you are sitting on the floor. could be an option for you.
the pic attached, drivers side has the hks rails compared to the oem rails on the passenger side.

Since your car is paid off you have so many options. If I were you Id trade it for a used MR. I got my 2012 with 4k miles on it for like 32? a 8k loan isn't bad you got that. Not losing boost when you shift is an incredible feeling and the upgrades like sun roof ect make the car feel like your a pimp, nameen
Guys, I am just curious why would a MR work? I had a MR before, the main problem with both GSR and mr is the lacking of seat adjustment, and telescoping steering wheel. I mean, sure, OP probably won't have clutch knee problem, but seating position is still a problemz

That's what I use in my MR.
I have an MR base. That's cloth seats, no subs, no fast key, no sunroof, with HIDs.
I would suggest you find the same.
I also sit very upright in my car. I'm 6'1", on full extension, I can touch the right side music knob. One seat click further back, and I can barely touch it, while at a stretch.
EDIT: Just saw you have SSS. In that case, just get an MR with the Premium package.

Clutch knee problem is directly related to seat position. No need for depressing the clutch should help him out.
OP
Your Evo is paid for so you got no payments.
I traded my 2013 MR with Leather Recaros and got the 2015 MR with Leather Seats.
Killed 2 birds with one stone.
Got the last year Evo Model which is what I wanted and also got the new style seats,
which are way more comfortable than the original Recaros.
I also had an Evo VIII SSL with the 8's Leather Recaros and those are the best seats for comfort and performance.
So if those fit a X do the research and buy them. You can get a shop to wrap them
in new fabric or leather to look brand new.
Or buy the Rally Art X seats. They are also the same as in the 2015 Evos.
I was like you getting so tired of those X Recaro seats. Very hard to get in and out
of them and if you do not race your car in a road rally you don't really need them.

Does messing with the seat rails mess with anything in the car? Such as the airbag sensors in the seats, etc.

I'll check out the dealership and sit in them to see how comfortable they are. Just don't want to drop 38-40K on a new MR.
Can i put the 2015 seats into my 2010 evo?
