VW GTI- Maybe, that would be cool. But, FWD?

Honda Accord sport- FWD?

Mazda 6- FWD?

Honda civic si- FWD?

and a ford mustang late model - I hear terrible things about body roll and suspension being garbage. I will kill myself if I take a turn in it like i would in the evo.

Does messing with the seat rails mess with anything in the car? Such as the airbag sensors in the seats, etc.
very good question, all hooks up however there is one airbag sensor that mounts onto the oem rail, and with the hks rail this mount isn't there, so you are left to put this somewhere...

couple other things to notes on this install:

- you will need a torx socket to remove the oem rails
- you will need to modify the seat bracket covers if you care to reuse them, hks provides a howto on this with the rails (take your time cutting them and smooth out the cuts out with sandpaper so they will look oem, you will need to chop up the front ones quite a bit so they don't rub against the rail)
- disconnect the cars battery before you disconnect the wiring under the seat, reconnect the cars battery after you reconnect the car wiring under the seat
- if you want to remove the seat from the car to install the rail, have a second person help as with one person you might scratch up the interior panels removing it from the car, or just install the rail with the seat in car - tilt it backwards
- if you want to do the passenger side, there isn't a way to bypass the weight sensor on this one (someone correct me if I'm wrong here)
- lastly, there is good howto somewhere on here ...

Seems like a lot of work lol.
Thank you for the detailed feedback. This plan is definitely up there with the rest.
Will keep you posted.

I don't think the focus RS is for sale in the United States. Well, not until Spring 2016.
Are you talking about the ST?

Thank god I am a short fat stubby guy =P.

I do hate the seating position in the Evo's.

I had an Evo X and now a Evo 9 and I wish the seat was more tilted backwards and further down.

I know they sell seat rails for just this.... but i haven't gotten any health issues except a bad back and a numb buttox on long drives.

Yeah spring for the Focus RS and probably need to deposit down now if you're interested.. I don't think anything else will come close to the evo as the ultimate daily drivers car for it's price. Golf R probably a softer version and M235i looses 2 doors.

Maybe you should go with a 2015? I personally am interested in that final edition since it looks better and has MR shocks (more comfort) and manual tranny. The official pricing is what I would like to know.

I'll check out the dealership and sit in them to see how comfortable they are. Just don't want to drop 38-40K on a new MR.

Can i put the 2015 seats into my 2010 evo?
yes and it would be very easy to get someone to trade you 2015 seats for your 2010 seats as alot want the recaros.

idk exactly about the m3s or 335i's but ive owned two older bmws and have had practicaly zero issues with them. still own one of them a 07 328xi and its been super reliable but I also take very good care of my cars.

If your lookin for something else kinda simailar you could always look into a lexus is350 there kinda fun to drive and VERY comfortable and have paddle shift which is better than full automatic so could be a happy medium.

They can be very reliable, just make sure to pick one that has been properly maintained.

This is a legit list.
Thanks.

Also, someone mentioned the IS350 from Lexus. I have driven that car, not sure about performance including hard turns, but in a straight line, feels almost as fast as the evo.

Hey everyone, thanks for all your input. I finally decided to get another car.
Got me a 2006 Lexus IS 350 as my DD.
It might not corner like an evo because its an FR car, but it sure is fast as hell in a straight line. (also my lower back and knee problems are getting a lot better)

I am selling the evo here on the forums if anyone is interested (Its parked and not being driven)

cheers
