Heat wrapping downpipe

How did you guys do it? There's a massive gap and i can't figure out how to wrap the stuff tight so it doesn't fall off without having a huge gap.

5-10 mins not hard to do..just get it moist then wrap the first few inches and clamp it down then just keep an even line going around.

Nice! Any brand in particular for the heat wrap? I haven't done it myself and I'm thinking about doing this one day.

Is there a reason not to wrap over the flex joint too?

Honestly Idk lol, my reasoning was if it kept moving at the flex joint over time the wrap might wiggle off to one of the sides or something
