Really? Such as what, turbo upgrades? I would love to one day go to a +1 turbo upgrade like the 18k, or FP Green/Red. I know Cobb had a FP Green kit for a while, but no longer offers it.

I'll make the trip to Plano one day for a good tune, hopefully I'm back home in Houston when that happens.

Parts will continue to be sold for a long time. R&D investments in creating new parts will taper off quickly. The R&D and capital investment to make a piece of hardware is likely a large, upfront expense. Making production units after that initial expense is likely very cheap in comparison. So, if a company spent $50k on R&D, molds, etc. to make a part for $50 that it can sell for $200, they will continue to do so for quite sometime. However, it would be a difficult business case to justify new R&D on a discontinued product.

I think the other thing to consider is not just the US market, but the global market when it comes to hardware. I suspect the 4G63 market globally is many multiples of the 4B11 market given years in service, models it appeared in, etc. The larger global market may have encouraged mfg to invest/produce longer than those will for the 4B11.

Reality is by the time the parts well dries up there will be a new 'Evo' we will all want - be it a Focus RS, Civic Type R, or something completely new launched five years from now.
