2008-2015 Aftermarket Parts & Evo Difference

I don't get it.. isn't the 2008 the same body style as the 2009 and above? I am looking to order parts for my evo and i keep running into websites that say "this lip only fits 2009 - 2010 evo x only" . Seriously? Am I missing something?

even rexpeed side spats it says it only fits 2008 & 2009 models.. but I don't think that's true but then again I'm now not too sure... their is also a APR GTC-300 Wing that I found and while the majority of sites say it fits my 2014 the one site I was going to order it from says it only fits 2008-2010 models... it just doesn't make sense... what am I missing here? Are they just outdated on their site? You would think rexpeed would fix it if so..

...I'm curious myself; thought there were no major changes.

I'm about 95% sure most sellers/manufacturers of parts are either lazy and don't update the compatible years or they only list the years they've actually tested with even though others may be the same.

I don't really see a difference but no first hand experience with doing part replacement between models.. My only thought would be if whoever manufactured that part aft mkt made it for the years they mentioned and possibly haven't taken the time to verify it fits the years after or haven't updated their product info. But then again there could be some small difference we are not familiar with.

I think many of the differences are mainly just small cosmetic things like small change in dash trim and stuff. Mechanically aside from recall stuff its all the same!

Side skirts got wider on 2010+ Evos, so I don't think the side spats would fit them
