AWC Service Required....but???
Hi guys.
I've done multiple searches and haven't come across a problem like mine.
The "service required" light (for AWC, pictured below) pops up any time I'm driving for 5+ minutes at speeds 70 mph+. Basically, every time I get onto the turnpike or freeway, the light finds it ways to my cluster.
When I turn off the car, and turn it back on, the light does not come back on. The light only is ever triggered when I hit the highway.
I do not have awd pump noises coming from the car. And the S-AWC cluster displays clearly shows power distributing itself on turns. So I really doubt it's the pump. Maybe a faulty connection?
Has anybody had a similar problem or can diagnose this problem?
Thanks for any help.

There is some times a steering angle sensor that may set it off. Or maybe something is off with one of your tires and its causeing the diff to freak out and throw a light.

Thanks for the reply. I'm more than sure you're right. My car threw a wheel speed or angle sensor code when I was at the track. Car needs an alignment as well.

If the pump failed you would know as soon as you hit 5mph or whatever the trigger speed is. I doubt it's the pump unless if you are seeing the SAWC distribution come on. Not sure what the issue would be, I have only personally experienced pump failure.

Do you have CEL appear at the same time? If not, I would verify ATF fluid in the rear, and try to bleed the system. If you had low fluid, and during the track day got some air in the system, it might just be enough for the AWD to act up.
Figure I'd throw an idea in the mix, since it doesn't seem to be a clear solution.

Get the alignment, verify your speed sensors are all intact, no codes. Then, if that's not it, just go to the dealer and have them MUT the car and tell you what's the problem. I think driving less would be a good idea, until it is sorted.
