Rebadging my X to CP9A style.
So, I'm thinking of doing a few small things to my OB X.
Painting the bumper body color
Red Mitsu diamonds
And badges of the 96-01 Lancer.
So the Lancer will look like this:

But for the Evolution part that's where I want opinions. Evo VI is my favorite car period. But that trunk badge might not work with the X trunk.
I would have a custom badge done but with an X of this

However, the IV and V style might suit that X better.
I could cut the numeral. And also do the side decals. But I dont think the X has a natural line for the IV/V side decals.
What do you think?

I dont think I can do it. Mainly after consideration there are too many things on the car containing the logo. It would bother me too much to have clashing fonts for the logo.

what is fascinating to me, how much people glorifying the VI. And most cases, they never drove or even see one in person. Of course its all personal preference. But me as i did drive a six and so,. i am thinking why people have soo much love for a car which is really not better then the VIII IX X.
I am talking about not the special edition of those.
Anyway, the badge doesnt make a car look different. lol
Buy a 6 if ypu like it that much, you can find them, and have it for a while. You will be surprised how fast you want to get back the X after you have it.

You can buy a 6 and it will get crushed by the feds. I can't compare the 6 to an x or 7/8/9 but I don't even like the ct9a but I would imagine yes the x is better to drive everyday than a 6 but I don't drive it every day had it a 5 days and drove it twice so daily aspect doesn't matter. For the purpose I have this evo which is to drive occasionally a 6 would be just as good. But that whole legality thing...

Not like I haven't seen threads about this. Usually it's people putting the ix badge on the car between the taillights. And taking off the ix or the I.
And I don't like the vi simply because we didn't get it. And I am well aware of the price gouging on now legal cars like the r32. I love the gtr as well but I know its worth a few grand over there and that's exactly why I don't have one. Same with an evo vi I know they arent worth **** so I'm never giving a price gouger 20k when it reaches 25 yo. If I have an s2000 and and evo x I could obviously afford an r32 or an evo vi but regardless what you think I don't want them by the means we can get them. Overpriced r32 or illegal evo vi.
I'd have converted a mirage intact that's why I signed up here in 2010 but looks like other than body and interior that 10 times more complicated than it should be considering they have the same frame.

The Six also more laggy and in many ways way behind the X. Has multiple Engine problems , like crank walking etc.
Only good is about the VI is the TME editions and the very rare UK special trims. But then you should consider the counter part not the regular Evo trims, the "same" Uk trims as today we know the as the FQ versions. etc.
But we talking about base models, the VI is is just not as good as the later verisons.
The TME is a lot better version , ( Hence the name 6.5...)
There are many you can buy, and if i am right even in the states there are some VI legally on the street. Right now most VI is abused in Eu but still you can buy some in good condition, and they are cheap, for a reason...

The thing is about what you posted yes the Evo VI has the same interior as a Mirage which is a base model car from the 90's plus Recaros, but the later Evo generations are exactly the same, base model Mitsu Lancer DE grocery getter interior with Recaros. Yes today the X is more appealing to be in, but it's really no different, they have still based the Evo on a cheap *** car.
I'm not saying the Evo X isn't sexy. The Evo X is a sexy car, otherwise I woudn't have one. I'm defintely not a fan of the 7/8/9. When they made the X, they redeemed in my eyes.
Also base for base, I'm pretty sure the VI still beats the VII and VIII until the Mivec IX. And again, dont assume it's just because we didn't get it. We didnt get the VII, I hated that when they revealed it.
