The car will not boost correctly as has already been mentioned. At light loads and partial throttle the ECU should be able to adjust for the mods and allow you to cruise normally. I wouldn't over think it. The real issue would come if you were driving it hard, you would likely over boost quickly and possibly run very lean. Just shift under 3K and feather the gas. No need to tow it in my opinion. Something like cams and injectors would make the car undrivable.

+1 on installing everything minus 3 port. You'll be fine, keep your foot out of it

No way in hell you are staying out of boost on a 3 hour drive. You planning on going 50 in 5th the entire time? Lol

You'll be fine just drive easy, don't go into boost. The car may run just a little rough, more so throw a CEL for the non-cat.

Look at it this way, it's a three hour drive there, then like a 34 minute drive back.

Woo woo

Good for you. You are risking damage to your car.

I think you are over emphasizing the risk. To cause real damage you will need to over boost or run very lean at high load, neither of which is going to occur on a leisurely paced cruise. I can drive all over the place and never trip a single psi of positive boost.

Through what mechanism, assuming he drives slow, is he going to damage his car?
