Evo X MR fuel cut or something, your thoughts?

Looking for some input before I take my car into the dealer. 2013 Evo X MR, 20K miles and on a drive home from work on Wednesday the car began what felt like fuel cut when shifting into 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th gears, mostly 3rd and 4th. All of this is at partial throttle, when I'd do full throttle it didn't seem to have any issues. I'd be in 2nd gear, often lower RPMS (say 3K RPM) and I'd pull the lever to shift to third and power would just cut drastically, it would throw me slightly forward for roughly one second and then power would re-engage. Would sometimes happen in the next gear, sometimes not. Tried S-sport and Sport modes and both did it. No engine codes or tranny codes found when I scanned it. No warning messages on the dash or anything.

I could seem to duplicate most of the time when I shifted to 3rd and 4th in low RPM situation. Previously I've felt this same issue but it was extremely faint to the point where I thought it was my imagination. Haven't driven it since Wednesday. Haven't tried it in Normal/Auto mode, will try that this afternoon.

Any thoughts?

Try spraying a little maf sensor cleaner in the inlet and simply disconnect and reconnect the sensor, may help. 5 minute simple solution that may be the fix.

Following up (very late) on this discussion, I traced it to a loose intercooler pipe. Replaced the clamp and also secured the pressure regulator line. Had one other issue where the other side of the intercooler pipe popped off and replaced that clamp. No issues since then.
