14-15 Evo X
I picked up a 13 MR last week. It was not easy finding one around me that did not have a ton of miles. It didn't help that I wanted a WW one with low miles and stock to near stock. Anyhow... car has 9k miles, every option possible on it (Nav, Touring, Premium package, Illumination) the original new car sticker was still in the car for $46,750 (I hope the previous owner didn't pay this much
). I paid 33,800 after some haggling.
With that said, this is my 3rd Evo (had an 8 GSR and 9 MR) and loved them both. After going through hundreds of listings (for last 4 months) and trying to find one because I did not want to buy one without the Recaros, I kinda wished I bought a 15. While doing my search I found several 15 models selling for less than 14 and even 13s.
For the seats.. you have several good aftermarket seat options. Sparco, Brides, Corbeau and even Recaros that will cost you around the same what a used set of OEM Recaros would from a seller here. My point is do not be fixed on the seats. If you have not sat on them before, I suggest you do. The X Recaros are smaller than the 8/9 seats. At least they feel tighter to me and I am 5'7" 160 so I am not a big guy by all means. So if you are taller and bigger framed, you may want to consider getting aftermarket seats.
As for the MR/GSR thing... it is subjective and totally a personal thing. I did not want to shift gears anymore and I will only be doing bolt-ons so to me it was a moot point. Plus GSR interior (unless you get the premium package) is not as nice as the MR if you get any year except 15.
So if you get a 15 regardless of GSR or MR, I wouldn't get any options except maybe the Sight and Sound package. This will yield the most savings and you get the nicer radio and HIDs. The rest really are not worth paying for... the NAV you can live without, its decent at best for a factory NAV.
Good luck and again... consider everything when deciding on the tranny.

There's no SSL package. It's just SS (2k) and leather is part of the premium package (3800) for GSRs. So you have the option to get HIDs and radio and no leather. Or get everything for $1800 more.
while we are in the topic of 15s... went to a dealer today in MD to get my car reflashed for a recall the original owner never did.. I thought it was a bit comical they have the 15 FEs marked up by $4 to 5k
by the way... they had over 10 Evos... 3 FEs in the showroom and the rest outside... I don't think they realize these cars wont sell being marked up..
Enjoy the pics..

Whatever you want to call it. The 2014 GSR SS + Premium has the exact same interior as the 2014 MR with touring package. Full heated Leather, sunroof, cubby panels, gloss back accents, extra sound deadening etc.

Yup, exactly the same interior my 2014 GSR has, except you also have the upgraded shift knob and E-brake handle.

people call things different names, simply stating the facts for what Mitsu actually called the options from the factory for the Xs. Not everyone in here knows what SSL is as that originates from the 8 when it was offered back then as an option.
some people just have to have the last word...
