Compared to Day 1, when I got it, it's definitely a lot quieter than I remember. Though when I threw it all on I was working with a basemap for the newsetup (threw on the ETS Test Pipe, and ETS intake on at the sametime with the Extreme, so I'm sure you can imagine the drastic difference from the day prior,so my memory may be a bit skewed.

Yeah still love it, only way I'd swap it out is for a Titanium Single (haven't compared the weights of the tomei and the ETS, or any others I'm not aware of yet so can't say which), but I gotta bigger priorities ahead of that anyway. (Kelford 214C's/AEM320 pump/and ID1300's)

 

I've had the extreme for 3 years now, testpipe and o2 dump for 2 years, daily driving. I still love it, when I drive other cars that you can't hear in cabin I feel like I'm missing something. The only issue I have with it is police. I always have one eye on my rear view looking for police cars following me. Been pulled over 5 times for the exhaust, only 2 tickets, and 1 was dismissed.

I'd probably only change it out for the tomei single exit if i had to.

 

Had it for a little over a year. I just took it off recently and have a UR dual (which is a mistake having because it is actually louder than the ets v2 extreme).

 

i have ams dp, ets race test pipe, and ets extreme with no resonators or anything. I love it. it don't think its that bad unless im getting on it all the time.

 

It's nice to know that some members still enjoy the extreme on their x. Majority of the posts related to the ets extreme is that most of them went to either v2 or the quiet. Makes me want to think to just embrace the tone and move on. I guess it's really not that bad.

 

I have a 2014 GSR and installed my ETS V2 regular. The sound is still awesome and not loud that attracts cops. I live in NY where cops are all over. Fortunately I have never been pulled over for it. At the same time it's not rediculously loud but still packs a power sound. I would recommend this. I feel if you go quiet that you would regret it.

 

I'm also having second thoughts about getting the quiet version. I feel that with a test pipe and a downpipe, I think that it will just change the tone pitch but is still gonna be loud. I'm looking at getting a resonated test pipe muffle the sound a bit without changing the tone.
