My dealership has had a 2015 GSR in stock since well before I bought my FE in November, they got a 2nd FE a couple weeks after my purchase, and both are still sitting there.
On top of that, they just got in 5 more Evos the other day, so we currently have 6 new 2015's, a used 2014 with 30k miles on it, and a FE.
My guess is that the 2014 sells fairly soon, but the others just don't seem to be moving.
I was talking to a friend that works there, and he said that he almost sold the FE a couple weeks ago, until the person saw the seats. I'm not sure if that's why the 2015's aren't moving, but I was surprised when they ordered more.

Or better yet use the $6k to pay for a Canadian import

I seriously doubt that's just because of the Recaros, or they'd be sending back all the 15 regular Evos. My guess is some dealers in California are stockpiling the FEs, either because they are speculating or because they are getting away with mark ups. (From what I recall, there is a dealer in Southern Cali who still has a bunch of brand new 2010 SEs stockpiled).
And the dealer I think you're talking about is south coast mitsu?. I swear I've heard one of them still having a brand new evo 9 wrapped in plastic and a lot of 2010 SE's

Guys, they're just ASKING $4k over sticker. It doesn't mean thats what they're getting. It personally offends me when dealers do this type of thing, but you as a client can still go and offer whatever you're willing to pay, just like you would in any other situation. Then they'll either take it, or not. I think those little add on "market value" stickers are there to separate morons from their money. Not saying I'm all that financially savvy, or a great negotiator, but I did offer $37200 (invoice) on my FE with MSRP of 38805 and they took it. For anyone that cares, I bought it at Roswell Mitsubishi in Georgia while I lived there.
