Then they'll either take it, or not. I think those little add on "market value" stickers are there to separate morons from their money. Not saying I'm all that financially savvy, or a great negotiator, but I did offer $37200 (invoice) on my FE with MSRP of 38805 and they took it. For anyone that cares, I bought it at Roswell Mitsubishi in Georgia while I lived there.
You think with matching front and back red stitched recaros, fosgate, sunroof etc etc is worth 42-44?

I'm pretty sure that's going to fall into the "personal opinion" category.. but in my opinion, if I had the option of getting one with everything (assuming you're in Canada), I would have probably paid 42k-44k because of what the car is.

For 44k though, it would have to have the Aero kit on it to justify at least some of the extra money.

With that said, other people will probably tell you to just find a 2014, or buy a 2015 GSR and use the money saved to find Recaros and get some mods.

I'm a little surprised that we don't see more of these types of posts.. From what I've seen locally, the FE's are exactly flying off the shelves in the US. We got 2 in Syracuse NY (was surprised we even got one honestly), and the one that I didn't buy has been sitting there for 2-3 months now.

honestly, not to me. The recaros look fantastic, but I don't find them to be the most comfortable. Matter of fact, I bought a set for my FE, and promptly sold them. Fosgate is something I'd like, and will be either adding if its plug and play or upgrading to something different if it isn't. I can't stand sunroofs, so...

Yea I don't know if I will ever do the recaros in my FE. I've been thinking about it but it would really be totally a look thing for me. I can't say its worth the money right now. I might instead spend that money on audio system upgrades or maybe some lighting bling.

The people that know about them (Evos) are the car enthusiasts. Truthfully, Evos are near invisible to the general public. I thought long and hard about a WRX and STI before I ever went down the Evo road. It is nice thinking that these FE's might be worth more but it is mostly fantasy or way, way in the future.

Wait, you say that only enthusiasts buy Evos, but then go on to say that Final edition cars won't be worth more to the very enthusiasts that buy them? Or best case "way, way in the future"? Ok, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Octane Blue FE #137. Came from a 2008 Apex Silver GSR. Daily driven and loving it. Bought a set of used Recaro seats. I plan to have them along with the rears reupolstered to match the Japanese market interior with red stitching. I'll post pics after i wash it.

I'm in the process of trying to find a decent place that can wrap almost the whole car in XPEL and it looks like I'll have to spend a few days down by the city because no one up here does it. Hope to learn from the pros on here
Congrats buddy. Let us know how them non-recaros feel and what feels different then previous years.

Congrats! Very nice looking car, and I'm pretty sure it's the first Octane Blue FE that I've seen posted anywhere.

Once you look into getting those seats redone, I'd be very curious how much that cost. I called a place by me to ask and they said at least $1k per front seat for leather, but he couldn't say exactly sight unseen over the phone.

So I picked up my FE this morning in diamond white (I have not taken pictures yet). I have never drove any Evolutions but had a 3000GT back in 1999 (was very happy with it over the 5 years that I owned it). I had a Cobb stage 2 WRX in 2005 (also very happy with that car over the 3 years that I owned it). My first impressions of the FE are:
1) handling is fantastic! On another level actually.
2) ride comfort over bumby roads is better than I expected and very tolerable. All the reviews said that the GSR was crazy stiff and uncomfortable to drive on rough road surfaces.
3) Power is great over 4K rpm, under that its ok.
4) brakes are excellent!
5) Almost all reviews of 5th gear highway driving said that the engine noise becomes unbearable for drives longer than 15 min. In my opinion, the engine is relatively quiet at 60mph in 5th gear.

Overall at this point I am very happy

Congrats on the car! The FE has a different suspension than the normal GSR which might be why it's better than you expected. We have the Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks like the MR cars had, so the ride is a bit smoother!
