Anyone familiar with my Evo?

Just thought to make this thread after seeing similar ones.

Anyway it's an 08 GSR in blue with all options but nav. HID, smart, Aero. Has a PA reg sticker on it, has around 86K. It is on 5Zigen FN01RC's that you ricerdipped black.

Just want some info on what else could be done to it, or other things you know about it. You've obviously put it back to mostly stock from what it was. It has Cobb 3 port K&N intake, and hard UICP. Another thing I noticed is that the innercooler covers are missing, which means you probably had an upgrade there as well.

Also want to know about tune.

How to make friends and influence people:

Say how you bought a car then proceed to insult the person that previously had it.

Await help.

Are you a millenial by chance? Sounds like a heaping serving of entitlement with a side of no regard for others.

What'd I win?

Dont care. I dont like the use of dip period. Never play nice when it comes to calling it out.

9/10 it creates more work for the next person buying said ricerdipped item. Unfortunately I couldnt tell it done, since the wheels somehow still have their decals on the spokes.

I see nothing wrong with Dip. People getting butthurt on what people do to their own cars is insane. You didn't have to buy that car lol, but to call him out and ask for help? What a joke.

If I was you I would take the car to a tuner to actually see what tune the car is actually running since it sounds like it had a lot of the mods removed.

I dont know... Probably because it's now my car? I dont want to spend a day peeling that ****. Or paying someone extra to remove it if I legit have them redone. **** dip, and **** anyone who is too lazy to remove the **** later.

I'd rather also aircraft strip wheels barehanded than remove dip. One takes less time.

And again, I couldnt tell they were dipped. The wheels still have decals. They are probably the black spokes with machined lip with the machined parts dipped.

Yeah they are black with a machine lip. I dipped the lip black, to avoid the ricey look. I still miss that car and regret trading it in. I dont know how many times I took that thing across from my house in the field and just dumped the clutch launching it into the high grass doing donuts! I broke a few axles but my buddy welded them up to be stronger! I have an M3 now and when I dump the clutch at 7000 rpm on this thing it is not nearly has impressive as that ricer Evo I traded in. Enjoy the car!

Oh man I remember you now your car had that engine fire that you contained and just painted over the scorch marks on the firewall so insurance wouldn't total it? Man that **** was hilarious!!! Glad you offloaded that car, M3 sounds sweet!

My point is you can't complain when you bought a used car. No one forced you to buy a car with those customizations made. I'm out .

Personally I never have a problem with what people do to their cars, since like other people said it's their car.

But let me get this straight...

You're calling a person ricer for plastidipping their wheels BLACK,

but you want to:

x plastidip your front part below the emblem that's normally black to blue
x looking for the "loudest Single Exit Exhaust"
x the whole emblem thing

Once again each of those points I couldn't care less normally but especially that first one, is more than painting your wheels black.

BTW, if you takes you a day to just spray some goo-gone and wipe off the plastidip you got bigger problems.

So my main question is. What did you know about the car before you bought it? From your other threads as well, your whole engine bay screams modified, and you had no idea they weren't stock in there?

First Google Image Result for "Evo X Stock Engine Bay" (which just happens to be blue too amazingly)

I dont care what anyone does to a car that they own. I simply ignore cars that have things I dont agree with. I DO care if it affects anything for ME. After a single dipped purchase, I turn down ANYTHING offered to me that's dipped. Parts, cars, doesnt matter, the deal would have to be so one-sided for me to knowingly deal with dip.

PAINT, as in automotive paint match to color code.

When I have things redone, I dont dip.

Volks for my old Prelude redone by a shop: not dip.

My Civic. Came with an unpainted front end. The ricer I got it from dipped front end instead of painting. I had him peel it later, and and then I bought supplies and sprayed it myself. code matched paint, clear, NO DIP.

If the ******* that dipped the parts/car didn't do it right, then it CAN take all day.

And those Enkeis were my first foray into ricerdip. Got them for a previous car to the Civic, and one was dipped by the person I bought them from. Thought removing should have been a few minutes. Not done well. After that NO MORE.

And if I have my 5Zigens redone...they will be REFINISHED, as in done by a shop. Not a can of ricer dip. The Little Enkeis on my Civic...I want them silver, and since the Civic is my beater, work will not be shop done, but I will still refinish them, aircraft stripper, sand a few grades, and automotive clear, not just spray them with shortcut dip. ANd if the front end of the Evo is done, it will NOT be shortcut dip.

And those curious as to this car:
