In that price range, I'd personally get a BRZ. Better fuel economy, lots more fun.

Get an Accord! My wife loves hers although she has the V6 Coupe manual. You can get in a new accord for what your looking to spend and they are very well equipped now a days.

Lmao I have to agree with that 100% ^
If I was gonna be conservative and spend money on a reliable car with decent gas mileage and low insurance rates and a stable dd, I would get an accord no joke Those things come with so many options nowadays

Accords look like pregnant cockroaches. Ugly, overwrought front wheel drive. Honda is so beyond dead to me. What they were 15 years ago is completely gone.

These days most cars feel disconnected. Go drive an accord, a new wrx, a gti, and a Camry and you will see that they all feel the same. The wrx is the best just because awd, but it really drives way too smooth now. I love the gritty raw feeling of the evo. I drove an accord and honestly you could buy one that's 10 years old and it feels the same as a brand new one.

yeah I used to have a '99 Integra and loved the simplicity of it. I loved how raw it was to drive; practically no computer input on the road. with the kind of technology we have now, it's hard to find cars that truely a driver's car.

Do you want 2 doors or 4 doors? AWD or RWD?

For under 30k i can think of...Miata, BRZ, 370z, GTI, focus ST, mustang ecoboost and new camaro. Also you said WRX.

Out of these... I will love to have a BRZ.

I would say wait it out. I bought a brand new 07 STi and about a year in I wish I would have gotten the Evo IX MR I looked at. I just didn't know too much about them but that was my fault for not doing the research. Going through 3 engines in the Subaru was super fun let me tell you.

Now I'm just waiting on my Evo X to be ready for pick up and onto the better of the two cars. You also see Subarus everywhere now days. Super rare to see Evo's on the road. Be the wolf not the sheep.

We can thank EPS on these newer cars

Modern Porsche probably has the best EPS and feels great comparing to anything other than non EPS Porsches.

I start feeling very insecure and intimidated every time I see an Evo on the road.

I am stunned that you can be looking at Evo's/WRKs as first car!

Times have changed, or I'm too conservative. I got an EVO short time ago, and it's the most I've eve paid for a car, and did so later in life when I was willing to have that much tied up in a car.

If you can do it, great, and I would agree with others, wait a bit, and get the evo, or find a good deal on a gently used EVO rather than something you don't want as much.

Love to hear your take on the differences. Or anyones.

The wrx drives like a Camry. No turbo punch at all and the steering feel is dead. It's quick, real quick, but did nothing for me.
