I drove the new FE Evo a few days ago. Highly disappointed in it. It felt slower than the 2014 MR model. I feel like you are buying a badge (seems like the only difference in power is them raising the boost a few PSI to get the 300hp from it). I would rather buy a 2014 models that has the Recaro seats and spend the money I save from difference of the two for upgrades.

yea, given that the OP has already bought a FE and apparently already switched in Recaros (for which I salute him), I think people are beating a dead horse a little. I didn't realize the Recaro swap was so easy though

It was amazing how easy it was. I even got my seat heaters hooked up just like stock thanks to the harnesses already being there (besides the one in the center console). The switches and relay swapped right over.

Here's a picture of the "Mercury Gray" Final Edition next to the blue MR:

Thanks man! Longevity is what I'm going for. I had clear bra installed on the bumper and much of the hood and mirrors. The "side spoilers" stick out causing you to rub against them while getting in and out so I will clear bra those too.

I have Weathertech's and mud flaps on the way since my old one would always throw rocks at the paint. I'm hoping to keep this one nicer for longer.

Cool!! I should probably do some of that stuff too! So far I've stuck it away in the garage, maybe for the whole winter. I might drive the Eclipse until spring we'll see. I feel like damn Gollum from Lord of the Rings clinging to my "precious" though

I'll post two more pics too. These were ones I forgot to add to the other thread just showing me filling it up for the first time halfway through Indiana during my inaugural trek. The second is when I got back home and put it into the garage.

I think it will really pay off. The guy who did the clear bra has some serious skill so you can barely see it. At a minimum, I'd clear bra the headlights.

Sweet car! Are you past the break in period? Do you ever get any hesitation/stuttering at low throttle and no boost?

It's right at about 350 miles now. Most of that was the drive through Indiana. I didn't notice any hesitation last time I drove it, but should probably say I am not certain.

Just traded my Apex Silver 08 GSR for an Octane Blue FE. Love it. Suspension is a lot better, and braking improvement is very noticeable. Didn't push it yet, as Im still in the break in period. The dealer tried to hit me with the mark up speech, but I had ads of their advertised pricing. They complied, and my monthly is low 400s. If anyone is interested, checkout 46 Mitsubishi in Jersey. Abe took care of me. With over 100k on my GSR, it was a no brainer as I love my Evo. I do miss the Recaros, but the stock seats aren't horrendous. I'll look into a set of Aftermarket Recaros or used Evo Recaros. I don't buy into the whole aspect of the car being a huge investment for me, as I will drive it daily. My motivation was a last hurrah for a car we all love. I view it as a dying breed. So I will ENJOY every bit of my car.

Wow. Low miles. That's interesting. I have a very slight hesitation at times when transferring from minor engine braking to very slight (like 5%) throttle. I might have to hook up a WBO2 to figure it out.

Congrats on the car and I completely agree. I bought my FE to drive it too!

i think stock vs stock the final edition will worth more. stock fe vs tuned not FE Evo i am still thinking the FE will worth more.
tuned vs not FE tuned evo i am not sure.
basically i am thinling the FE will worth more if stays stock. except the front seats.
how much more the FE willl worth vs none FE ? well the 6 vs 6tme is not that much of a difference anymore....
