I was browsing through a hundred of pages in the show and shine section and noticed something... My evo does not have a trunk keyhole ( I'm grateful for that ) and some evos do have it... why? Do they not have the key with the trunk button? Maybe is just a rear view camera? idk.. Just curious..

 

The Evos with FAST key have a button on the trunk. The button is there for us FAST key owners to push so we don't have to take the key out of our pocket to open the trunk. I personally would like to have no button on the trunk.

 

Oh i see. Well.. Thankfully i do not have fast key. It makes de-badging the trunk ugly with that button their. Thanks for the info.

 

I like my FAST key but do not like the button. Some people swap out trunks, but the button does not bother me THAT much haha. My trunk is completely debadged.

 

My 2010 SE doesn't have fast key I don't believe but I still have no key hole in my trunk (gratefully ).....

 

That's because you NEED the fast key to have that button.

 

Fastkey is correct. I love not having to pull my key out.

Yep, that circle is for FAST key. I love the entry system too especially since I don't have to pull out an actual key (as long as I don't have my iPhone in the same EVO key pocket ).

 

Just installed a carbon fiber trunk with no key hole but I am cool with the shaved look.

 

Man I just had that happen to me the other day with my phone. I was like why is this damn thing not working... the warranty had just ended like 2 weeks prior... I was like of course it would have trouble after it ends then I went back out without my phone being in my pocket the same pocket then I put 2 and 2 together lol

 

I find if the battery is low fastkey range is stupid short.

 

My RA had the fastkey and I loved it! Wish my Evo had one

 

Where is the button on the trunk exactly?
