New EVO owner!
New EVO owner!
Hi guys! My name is Jeff and today I finally pulled the trigger and got myself an evo x! Ever since I was 14 I've wanted an Evo but never really found any good deals on them but today I finally decided to trade in my WRX for a 2012 EVO X!
I just made this post to introduce myself and also ask you guys what are some beneficial mods that I can do to the evo? I currently have a 6 month warranty on the power train and transmission but once that it over I plan on modding. So I'm just wondering what would you guys recommend? Also what are some things that I need to know as an evo owner? The car is stock but it currently has mudflaps on it. I'm also wondering if it is worth the money to have the dealership put a clear bra on the car? Or would it be cheaper to do the clear bra somewhere other than the dealer?
Thanks guys!

Welcome!
Word of the wise is that probably everything you need to get done would be cheaper somewhere other than the stealership. You can also start a relationship with the shop of your choice, and most REPUTABLE shops will be real with you and not try to BS you into paying for **** you don't need or overcharge you.
Enjoy your car! and make sure you stay on top of maintenance

I'd start with an exhaust and a good tune. That should put you around 330whp. If that's not enough, get a MHI turbo, injectors and a fuel pump. You'd be close to 400whp. I'd stop there, for longevity's sake, unless you have the money to build the motor and go nuts

Congrats on the car. This ^^^ I've had my 15 WW for just over a month and the front bumper and hood are beat with stone chips now. Don't have to worry about them rusting at least.
