One poster meant, a picture of the car you purchase, not a picture of you. Every single person on here loves seeing pics of a new members car, that is why there is an entire section devoted to it. Yes, the other guy was being a semi creepster and I assume he was joking.

Just a little piece of valuable advice, don't jump on a predominately guy forum and announce you are a girl if you do not want a bunch of attention. I've never seen people break their necks to post on a topic like this one, especially to a member who doesn't know very much about the car. (No offense of course)

For the money you are looking to spend, get as close to new as you possibly can, and 100% stock. You will be happy you did. Best of luck to you.

So what? I've tracked my car hard and it still runs beautifully.

And I hate people saying "beat the crap out of the car on the track". It's just driving the damn thing. Sure you are working the brakes more and wearing through tries... But if the brakes have been upgraded/replaced and all you need to do is buy a decent set of tires, that's a wear and tear item anyway.

Do a compression/leak down test on the engine, and if those results are fine then there aren't really any worries.

I have my wideband there and it doesn't block anything. Unless your head is at the level of my belly button you can see the gauges fine. It's way better imo than a-pillar gauge pods or the obtrusive ones on the dash that don't fit with the car in any way.

For OP:

Looking at that car here are my thoughts:

1) Mercury grey can look cool if you do the color tastefully. The teal is quite nasty, but so what. Calipers and the front emblem can easily be re-painted. You could alternatively have the calipers re-built and powder coated for a cost to you of ~$700. Which is the only item (besides the clutch) on the car to perhaps need some extra attention if the car were tracked.

2) If it has a clutch that's great! That saves you from a major pita upgrade you need to make when modifying the vehicle. Test drive the car though, make sure you like the way the clutch feels/engages.

3) This car is clearly way more modified than posted before. That's all the better IMO value wise.

4) Find out what has been done to the suspension. Surprised nobody else on here has commented on this, but that's clearly been lowered. I can't tell from the pics, but if it has aftermarket coilovers that's awesome. Might be lowering springs though (which is what I bet it is).

5) The more I look at this car the less I think it was an abused track toy. Maybe it saw some track time, but overall it's tastefully modified with good parts. Could be someone who liked it but then decided they wanted into a GTR or something.

6) Lastly, grey can be awesome. I know this isn't mercury grey, it's graphite grey, but with a bit of effort you can really get a fun contrasting color scheme going. Those dealership photos are definitely nothing flattering:

I agree... like I said on my earlier post. If she likes the MRs after driving one then it opens the door to other possibilities but they tend to cost more. I think some bolt-ons is ok like the MR that she posted earlier.

Not sure if the OP is mechanically inclined and works on her own cars so getting one that is modded even cosmetically may not be a good idea if she is not.

I am open to both options don't mind putting more cash for the right one but with a manual you just have more fun in my opinion. Also I don't mind getting my hands dirty but I have someone to do that for me 😉 so that won't be an issue. I know parts for these car can get pricey. I should know I owned several imports specially my Infiniti . I am not worried about a few bolts ons because eventually there gonna be on there. Specially if it's a one owner with a history report. But whichever one I decided will be tested out fully.

Oh man know you have me thinking lol. That evo does look good. I will take into consideration of the things you posted. Will call kozmic hopefully see if they have information on it. Maybe try to track down the owner. I doubt he got a gtr cause it is at a ford dealership possibly a truck.

lol. The sad part is you think I'm taking the time to write this stuff because OP is a female. Maybe it's why you are here, but I have put as much effort into many other replies on this forum and others since this platform was released. Sorry for using pics of my car as examples, only did it because it was relevant

Also, I've learned my lesson the hard way that many people on the forums don't know what they are talking about. I like to try and write thorough and detailed posts to provide people with as much information as possible so they can make an informed decision. I'm not saying that anyone else on here doesn't know what they are talking about, but I am saying that you have to be cautious when taking advice from people on forums because everyone thinks they're an expert when many don't have any legitimate experience to back that up.

Not true, at least not for most folks here. Sure like stated earlier, there is always one that says or asks something to a female poster... but really, I've put a ton of effort trying to help out folks with the information I know about Evos, so if i see a thread that i think I can add some input, I do it. I rather help someone make a purchase then see the thread... "Just bout an 04 Evo 2 months ago, tranny is whining" all because person did not do any research prior to buying and often times its young kids spending the only money they have, only to buy a car is trashed.

I have seen him plenty of threads so I vouche for him. Gender is irrelevant... at least for ddawg. Keep in mind most folks on this forum... 99 percent are males.

I will say that if I was a chick... I probably wouldn't say I was. Not bashing on you OP but it does give some folks here the idea that you are trying to gain attention.

Anyways good luck on a purchase.

It's a 2012 gsr for 29k with 32k miles. Does the price sound right? It has a few mods already. The question is it worth getting an evo with mods done to it or should I keep searching for one with out ? What would you choose if you can do it all over again? Also will the warrant be voided?

Thanks.
I just bought a Brand New 2015 for $45CAD. Yes I live in Canada and we get the recaros in our 2015s. I love the car. I'm sure you will find one soon enough.

Buy this car:
https://m.facebook.com/groups/135631...esting_product

If you can't see that then join the Mitsubishi evo x owners group on Facebook. Find the red evo x for sale. The mods to that car are all high end and extensive, that's one amazing deal. Yes it's a bit more than you wanted but that's a deal of a lifetime for a ridiculously nice car.
