Currently about 5-6k miles into my OCI. Check my oil level often and at gas fill ups. The oil looks dark as hell on a cold engine and light golden when warmed/driven. Castrol Edge 5W30 and Mitsu OEM filter.

I've had zero issues. I have full ETS bolt on's and a tune. Sitting at about 35k miles. Got it brand new with 12 miles on the odometer.

Initially I was changing the oil every 3-4k miles with synthetic. For the last year or two I've been extending the OCI to about 8K with Amsoil, Mobil1 EP or Castrol synthetic.

Also, oil level is right where it should be. Haven't burned any amount.

Full race engine with high boost. Just broken in and dyno'd (1000whp...yes, not kidding...going to be up for sale soon, as I did this as a project car and now drive a hybrid and got old and slow and don't want a race car) but in this type of machine, I wouldn't go more than 3k. In my stock evo 8 (I had two), I was going every 5k with good engine oil analysis (Mobil 1 synthetic, Purolator filter). I think if it's stock, 5k is fine.

I just say if you drive pretty hard then 3k, if not 5 would be fine

Totally agree

However for the longevity of the car, I wouldn't wait till 5k.

I change the oil in the wifes 2015 MR every 5k miles with a fully synthetic oil and a factory oil filter. I also rotate the tires and check the brakes, hoses, air pressure, etc. to make sure everything is wearing as it should.

Every 4000 miles has worked for me. I feel 3k miles is too early for a street car past its break in period. The oil will still likely be in good shape.
