New EVO X MR owner here

Hello all,

Glad to be back (it's been awhile). Just traded in my 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack and picked up a WW 2015 Evo X MR. Looking forward to learning more about this beast!

Cheers!

Thanks issac! Looking at your signature block, I'll be doing some research referencing your mods! Have you dyno'd it yet? Also, what part of the bay are you from? I'm originally from Daly City!

I just did the same switch. 2014 Mustang GT to 2014 Evo.

Haha! We'll have to keep up on each other when it comes to modding (because you know our cars aren't going to be stock).

Don't get me wrong. The Stang was fun while it lasted but IMO I think I'm going to enjoy this car more.

Yea, I was the point with my mustang where I wanted more power and not just bolt ons so that meant a TVS. Ended up driving an Evo liked it and gave it some thought and made the switch. Plus it was my third mustang. I've got a test pipe to go on but I'm going to do all my performance mods at once vs gettng multiple tunes so I got a few more pieces to get. But to do all that I need to sell my leftover Mustang parts but I'm not in a hurry so I'm just enjoying the car stock for now.

Welcome and enjoy. Honestly when you are ready to tune make the road trip to Kozmic Motorsports in Houston. They do the best work with the MR.

I didn't do too much to the Mustang when I owned it - CAI, exhaust, springs, and front lip. The Pipes Bomb was too obnoxious inside the car, but it definitely sounded great from the outside.

To be honest, I'm thinking of an Upper Intercooler Pipe, CAI (or SR - still looking at the variables), a more prominent BOV, test pipe, and full cat exhaust (I actually want something a little more subtle after dealing with the Pipes Bomb). Looking forward to seeing the improvements overall!

Thanks Napalm! I'll definitely look into them - it'd be a great opportunity to stretch the Evo's legs driving to Houston.

Congrats on the new purchase! I have an MR as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Robert ... I've been digging through the forums and have seen mixed opinions on bolt-ons and tunes. One question in particular is if a UICP and CAI require a tune as I'm definitely interested in purchasing both from ETS. Obviously a tune will be the eventual route I'll go, however, if I go this route without a tune for now, will it hurt anything?

DBZ, agreed! Of all the cars I've owned I'd rank the E46 M3 as one of my other favorites ... It's true that BMW stands for "break my wallet." The Mustang was fun too. That rear end though getting loose was always my biggest fear.
