Alright guys it's been months since the car has been down now but I finally got enough cash set aside to order the new motor but I'm finding it difficult to find a brand new 4b11 With out having to wait three months for it to be built and shipped from Japan. Does anyone here know where I can get one soon or am I stuck waiting on the dealership to get them in.

 

Go to the evox classifieds on Facebook. There's a dealer in Florida that always advertises shortblocks, complete engines and transmissions

I called and talked to Mike down there and he told me it was sold and the listing is just a place holder, they are ordering 40 crate motors in as this is the last run for the 4b11, I'm in line behind 20 people at the moment.

They told you what you want to hear. They will keep making 4B11's way beyond 2016. They have to make replacement parts for cars.

 

AMS Performance has a built stage 1 longblock for under $8k.

 

I believe he was talking about the long blocks that come with the turbo, clutch, alternator water pump, etc.
But I could be wrong or he could be.

 

Really just looking for a stock motor at the moment because I'm not sure how much longer I will be keeping the car once it's fixed, so I don't want to invest 10k in it for a built motor. But that sounds like a great option if I'm set on keeping it.

 

Just as an FYI, that is with cores required. Without cores, it's $16,000
