Torque App Boost Gauge
Torque App Boost Gauge
Does anyone have any experience with the Torque app for Android?
Running an Android OS 7" unit in the Evo, and running some gauges (boost, coolant, voltage, etc) on the screen while driving, and I'm highly impressed with the response time of the app.
Anyway, my target boost map is 26psi. I wasn't sure if Torque had a limit on what psi that gauges would show/read, but both my maps (low boost/winter, and standard/default map) showed a max of 22.5psi. Would anyone have insight for this?
Note: I live at 350ft above sea level, so technically that would only be a 0.17psi difference (assuming sea level is 14.696psi and 3,500ft elevation is 12.93psi), so I didn't think there needed to be any changes to the Torque boost setting for elevation, thus keeping the modifier at '0'.

I'm at sea level and tuned for 29 psi and mine only reads 22.5 on torque too. My boost gauge and logging with evoscan shows i'm hitting 29 no problem so i think something is up with the app.
Sorry, I forgot to update this thread. There are limitations on the Torque app that cannot see boost over 22.5 psi. There's a MUTIII v2 plugin for Torque Pro (~$14) that reads Mode23 on the ECU and is able to pull more PIDs to show more information (clutch temperatures for the SST, boost, load, knock, etc). It's a slower refresh rate, and takes a bit to set up, but I'm confident it'll do what I need it to do.

I personally don't have a boost gauge. I've got the gauge cluster gauge pod, which holds (2), so I'm running a wideband and oil pressure, which I personally think are more important than a boost gauge. Having the accessibility to instantly log parameters through Torque on my head unit is certainly a plus, so if the MUTIII v2 plugin works, then it's a win/win for all.
