You need a large bank account full of disposable income.

Unless you have a ton of disposable income don't bother with that. Go for a more reasonable goal.

You're 2 minutes from Moore Auto. Done.

They have built a few Evo's over 750whp, even over 800whp.

If you can afford it, do a built engine (sleeved 2.2), larger turbo (like an EFR 8374 or 9174), upgraded drivetrain (TRE or Shep), and engine management - like Motec (it might be 'doable' on stock ecu but I wouldn't recommend it). Expect to pay 15-20K all in.

^^^This. The AMS packages are not the fanciest or the cheapest, but they are reliable tried and true solutions that give an Evo who will spend most of her time letting you ride, instead of breaking your bank.

I'm curious, what car were you driving/modding/building prior to the evo?

It might seem irrelevant but in reality its very relevant.

IMO that 850+hp AMS package is overpriced. Plus it doesn't upgrade the transfercase, transmission, or rear diff. Turn key reliability my ***. Have fun blowing up your drivetrain
