Soon to be Evo owner here
Learning stick on an evo oh lord. Lol i dont know how evo x cluch is but evo 8 and 9 are hard. In traffic its a pain in the ***. Stalling its a big thing too i been driving stick for a while but i got my evo and cant really manage to take off with out rubbing to much. I press the gas to much and not let go of the clutch as necessary. If i try to not rub my cluch mcuh i stall sometimes. But hey man good luck.

One week after my Evo's delivery, I was cruising to a couple of hangouts in New Hampshire with my cousin. He was pretty surprised that I was willing to commit to a manual car. After ~20 minutes of driving, he was like, "well you really took a good course learning manual! Today you haven't even stalled once!" I was so happy. Right after he said that, we came to a stop sign, I dropped the clutch too soon, and stalled.
Haha 3 months i had my car since September last year but i only have had it for like a month and half actually driving it all together cuz its been in the shop most of the time so i drive for like a week and its back at the shop so i really cant get the hang of it. Haha oh yeah happend to me on an arrow light it turned green i stalled and cars behind me were honking lol hate that lol
There is no hurry and of course you can take the manual driving course anytime you want. When I was taking it, I had a classmate who was taking it after driving his manual Civic Si for a year, while I was taking it before my first manual car's delivery. We both felt that the course was pretty good in improving our skills and confidence in driving a manual car.
In the first 3 months, I was stalling nearly every single day I drove. It drove me nuts.

I've drove g35 coupe and previously own a 08 350z. trust me driving the evox is so much easier then the Z. the Z is very sensitive and what I mean by that is that the clutch is heavier then the evo. evo x moves with such ease while you have to really balance the clutch and gas on the Z. you should be fine. what color are you planning to get?
