Battery Question - Is it dead?

Just got back into town after being away for 2 weeks and the evo had a hard time starting, but after a few tries it finally turned over. Figured it was just the battery since it sat for two weeks, but it's a pretty new battery - about 6 months old.

Just went for an oil change and they hooked it up to a reader and got a 400 out of 700 and said it needed to be replaced. Sound right? Or if I drive it will it eventually charge and perform normally?

I didn't think sitting for 2 weeks would be such a big deal for an almost new battery.

So how old is the almost new battery? It should be warrantied for a free exchange for 3yrs--if you bought a good one. Just saying.
Never mind-- I see it, 6mos. should be an exchange no charge-- I would think.

they (where ever u got the battery) will probably want to charge it first to see if it'll hold charge before replacing under warranty.
any type of leeching alarm or what not will drain the battery. even hot weather.

They gave it a full charge, tested it, and then replaced it under warranty.

Odd since it was a good battery - AGM.
