Introducing my new Evo FE

Hey all! I've been perusing this forum for quite a while, but finally took the plunge and bought an FE just yesterday. I don't even have it yet - they are doing a dealer trade and bringing it in Mon or Tues most likely. I'm beyond stoked.

I know the general rule, that a car doesn't exist till I post photographic proof
Don't worry though, the moment I have it I'll post plenty of pics. It's nice to meet you all. Cheers!

Congrats man! I love my FE, I have had three Xs over the years and I keep coming back. I recommend leaving it stock for a bit, mare sure it's 100% then get a very good pro tune if you feel the need for a mod. It will help bring the honeymoon stage back.

Other than that just get tires and oil changes, find a back road and burn that gas!

Make sure you do a full walk around on it before you sign the final papers. Look really really close. This is rare, but things can happen to a car during trades. My 08 was ran off of a truck that jacked up the rear passenger door and quarter panel, and the dealer they were trading with tried to hide it. I didn't find out until about three months later.

So now, no matter what, all new cars I buy I walk around with a fine tooth comb before I buy.

Damn sorry they uploaded from my phone upside down for some reason. You get the gist lol. And thanks for the advice everyone. I took a good hard look at the dealership when I picked it up today but after reading what you said migs i think I'll give it a few more passes.

Anywho, the car is incredible. Good lord it's fast. It makes my old 2009 3 series feel like a lawn mower.

Helpful for those in Australia. (obligatory upside down picture joke)
Welcome to the club, Enjoy it! I'm sure you will not have a problem with that though.

Oh hah very nice Leo. I'm going to be keeping it simple for now. I just got a clear bra installed yesterday, and next on my list are tints and mudflaps. I'm going to keep the performance parts stock for a bit to both get a better understanding of the stock capabilities and to make sure no major mechanical faults occur in the first few thousand miles (if it was a lemon, I'd know by then). But anyway that's awesome man. Welcome to the FE crew. Post some pics when you get a chance!
